My Norwex Testimony
Why did I choose to sell Norwex? Simply: I love it and want to use more of it in my home! The Norwex Global Mission of improving quality of life by radically reducing chemicals in our homes really speaks to me. If I can sell Norwex to others and help reduce chemicals in our environment, all the better!
As a wife and mother, I found it really alarming that indoor air pollution ranks as the #5 highest environmental health problem in America. I mean, essentially this means that every time I clean the toilet, dust the coffee table, or throw a fabric sheet into the dryer, I am harming my family. By trying to keep them clean and healthy, I am potentially causing them long term issues. Thank goodness that Norwex has solutions for this! I can still keep my home clean and my family’s long term health safe.
As an allergy sufferer, I actually blame my mom’s overzealous use of cleaning chemicals. Our house was nearly spotless growing up, and now I pay the price with allergies. In fact, over 50 million Americans have some type of allergy, according to the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology, and about 25 million Americans have asthma. Studies have shown time and time again that exposure to spray cleaners (Windex, I’m looking at you!) can cause astham and allergies.
With Norwex, you need not breathe, touch, or accidentally ingest chemicals while cleaning. You do still, however, end up with a clean home! One of my favorite demos of Norwex’s cleaning power is the chicken demo. You can watch on Youtube here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N6tnrdRL6AI, or you can come to my Norwex Launch Party on October 18th to see a similar demo!
My Norwex testimony: I truly believe that Norwex is my best cleaning solution. It’s safe, chemical free, and a time and money saver. It’s everything that a mom and wife could ask for!
If you have a personal Norwex testimony that you would like to share, please post it in the comments!
Norwex Product Information
The intention of the Norwex Product Information videos that I have developed is to give people who aren’t familiar with Norwex a quick taste of the product. There’s so much more to Norwex! A company that is dedicated to removing the unnecessary chemicals and plastics from our lives can and does have a large product offering!
My first video focuses on just introducing me and Norwex at a very high level. The purpose is to very quickly acquaint people with both myself as their consultant and the company.
The focus of my second video is on the cleaning products that made Norwex famous: the EnviroCloth, WindowCloth, dusting mitt, and Envirowand. If you buy anything from Norwex, I highly recommend these items!
My third video is a quick (less than 15 minute) over view of the other products that we use daily in the Keller Family household. The products are make up remover cloths, body cloths, the XL bath towel, cleaning paste, UPP, stain remover, and more!
Take a few minutes to watch all 3 videos. I’d love to get your feedback. If anyone can teach me to edit using a MacBook, I would greatly appreciate that, too!!
Norwex WindowCloth Review
I realized something shocking yesterday: I, a Norwex Independent Sales Consultant, had filthy, dirty car windows and mirrors! That’s not exactly good brand representation! I had just read that Norwex was founded upon a red microfiber cloth that was originally created to clean car windows so I decided to see for myself if my Norwex EnviroCloth and Norwex Window Cloth were up for the job!
With two kids, my car windows were pretty gross. Clearly, someone has been allowing the kids to eat and drink in the car! I knew that the level of stickiness involved would require me to use my wet EnviroCloth first on the car windows and mirrors, followed by my Window Cloth. The EnviroCloth removed the sticky gunk that my lovely children had left behind as well as the every day dirt, grime, and squashed bugs that were also present on my car’s windows and mirrors; however, I was a little bit worried! There were terrible streaks and water spots. I knew it was time to use the Norwex Window Cloth.
I quickly grabbed the aforementioned dry Norwex Window Cloth, and I quickly went towork over my still damp car window. The streaks and water spots were gone! Not only that, but my windows were sparkling. Honestly, they were clearer than the day I bought my car. I can honestly tell you that the combination of the Norwex EnviroCloth and Norwex Window Cloth took the sticky, dirty grime right off my windows with very little effort from me. Even more surprising was how easily it cleaned off the squashed bugs on my windshield and side mirrors. I used no chemicals to get sparkling windows and mirrors!
I know that there are a lot of you who use Windex on your car windows. I really suggest that you stop (regardless of whether or not you decide to replace your Windex habit with the Norwex Basic Package of the EnviroCloth and Window Cloth). Besides aggravating allergies in adults, Windex has been shown to damage the tints on car windows.
Well, I have sparkling car windows, now I just need to talk Mr. Keller into cleaning the rest of the car! Maybe he’ll use the Norwex Car Wash Mitt!
Side note: If your windows aren’t as filthy as mine, you can simply use a spray bottle to lightly mist water onto the window and wipe with a dry Norwex Window Cloth. Never wet the Norwex Window Cloth with water directly.
Norwex Dusting MItt Review
This last month we gutted and updated our mudroom and laundry room area, and the mess was ridiculous! First, there was the old insulation, and then there was the drywall dust from the new drywall. Anyone who has ever lived in a construction can sympathize, I’m sure. Regardless, my window screens were left a mess!
No doubt about it, I had been avoiding cleaning those window screens. I remember my mom taking the window screens down, spraying them with water and scrubbing them, and I just did not want to do that! The other night, however, I learned that the Norwex dusting mitt can be used to quickly clean those pesky window screens! Apparently, all that is necessary is to slightly dampen the mitt, put it on your hand, and wipe both sides of the screen. It sounded easy so I figured it was worth a shot!
Not only was it as easy as it sounded, it worked! With very little effort, my screens are now clean! Cleaning with the Norwex dusting mitt must have looked fun, too, because BK asked to join in the fun!
The mitt is made from a soft microfiber
material. The material is ideal for dusting as it creates a natural static charge that attracts and holds dust to it. Ditch the chemicals you usually use to dust your house and try out the mitt! You will find that you actually will need to dust less often! It sounds hard to believe, but I can attest to this personally. It seems that most dusting sprays lay an oil or wax over your surface that leaves your surface shiny and more attractive to dust. That dusting spray actually causes dust to stick as the spray is slightly sticky. Truly, give the Norwex dusting mitt a try and find yourself dusting less often!
Initially when I received the Norwex dusting mitt, I wasn’t too keen on it. I didn’t think I would like the fit of the mitt as I have small hands; although roomy, it doesn’t slide around on my hand as I had feared. I’m really looking forward to using it on other areas of my house! In addition to dusting and cleaning window screens, the dusting mitt works great on blinds, fans, lamps, plants, tops of cupboards, vents, and vehicle dashboards.
Norwex Cleaning Paste Review
Norwex Cleaning Paste is so simple to use! It’s a natural and environmentally friendly product that you can use to clean just about anything! It’s active ingredients are Marble Flour, Natural Soap and traces of Coconut Oil. It actually smells like lemon. Delicious!
When it arrives, you might be surprised to find that it’s a solid. Yes, even though it says paste in the name, it arrives as a solid! This is actually a good thing. It means that it’s very concentrated! You’ll actually take your wet Envirocloth or spririsponge and dab some of the Norwex Cleaning Paste onto it. From there, you can scrub away!
In our house, we use the Norwex Cleaning Paste on everything! I’ve used it to take the black marks off of the bottom of my pots and pans, shine up chrome and stainless steel, and even my sink basin. I use it the most often with a spririsponge to clean off my glass stove top! It’s food safe so you can use it in your kitchen without any fear.
Think outside of the box with this product, too! The Norwex Cleaning Paste is wonderful for cleaning up lawn furniture and removing permanent marker from walls and tiles. Shockingly, it will even clean up the rubber on a pair of shoes! Have gross grout lines? It’ll clean that up, too.
Though it doesn’t look very large, I have found that it lasts months. As I mentioned, we use it daily, and I’m just now finishing a container that I bought in January, 2015. I definitely feel as though I got my money out of it! I also feel good about the fact that it’s all natural and safe. There are no harmful chemicals in this highly effective product.
I have found the Norwex Cleaning Paste to be my most versatile and absolute favorite item from Norwex (second to only the WindowCloth!). I highly recommend this product!
Please note: It is not safe to use on brushed stainless steel, aluminum, wood, nickel or pewter, gold, or silver. Also, there is a 60 day warranty on it.
Norwex Ultra Power Plus Detergent
I recently received the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Detergent as a consultant reward. I’ll admit, I was leery of trying it. I really like the scent of my usual laundry detergent: All; however, I had heard some really great things about the Ultra Power Plus Detergent. I knew I had to give it a chance. After all, the sample was free! It seemed silly to waste it.
I tried it out this past weekend, and I have to tell you, I really tested it! I think from Friday through Sunday I did at least 14 loads of laundry. I did everything: all of our clothes (even the whites!), towels, drapes, and bedding. Around here, the whites are the biggest test. Our water has a brown tinge to it, and, frankly, Mr. Keller’s socks are disgusting. Some days, I’m not even positive that he wore shoes. Somehow, his socks are almost always stained brown from the dirt (farming and funeral services both involve a lot of dirt!), and often have hay attached to them. Obviously it’s difficult to keep those socks white, especially with our brown tinged country water. I was honestly shocked when the 1/2 tsp or so of Norwex Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent I used per load worked to white those socks, but it worked. Those socks look nearly brand new. I can fully recommend the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Detergent to anyone who might ask!
Besides simply doing what it’s supposed to do, the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Detergent is highly recommended for a lot of other reasons:
- It contains no dyes
- It contains no fillers (some other detergents contain fillers like sawdust!)
- It is free of phosphates
- 100% biodegradable and non-toxic
- Dissolves quickly
- Takes only a fractional amount to work (1/2 tsp for my HE washer)
- Works in HE washers or conventional
I’m sold on this stuff, and I haven’t even tried it out as a paste to clean other parts of my house yet. From what I have read, the Norwex Ultra Power Plus Detergent can be made into a paste to clean things like shoes, stainless steel appliances, and grout. In fact, I’ve heard of people using it in their carpet cleaner to shampoo their carpets! Just thinking about it almost* has me wanting to get out my carpet cleaner and give it a try.
Oh! And best of all, the 1/2 tsp I was able to use is less than the amount used to calculate the 100 load estimate for the bag. I think this bag will take me much further than 100 loads.
Norwex Crystal Deodorant Review
Deodorant! We all need it. Hopefully we all use it. I recently gave the Norwex Crystal Deodorant a try. To say that I was leery would be an understatement, but I can very happily report that it works!
Honestly, switching deodorants stresses me out. It’s not a good thing to stress about, either! You’re sitting there stressing about whether you smell, and it’s almost a self fulfilling prophecy… except this time it wasn’t!
The Norwex Crystal Deodorant is an all natural option. It’s made from mineral salts and ammonium alum. It works by stopping the odor causing bacteria while still allowing the body to create natural perspiration. Wait! You might be thinking, ‘I’ll still sweat? But I won’t stink? That’s weird!’ Sweating is actually a good thing. It’s how your body cools itself off. The issue is the bacteria that forms as it’s the bacteria that causes the smell. Also, I want to point out that there’s no actual aluminum in the product (ammonium alum is not aluminum). Why is this worth pointing out? Aluminum has been proven to cause cancers such as breast cancer. Any deodorant with an antiperspirant is going to have aluminum in it so if you’re using an antiperspirant, you are slathering on a carcinogen every day. Why risk it?
The Norwex Crystal Deodorant is completely odorless and non-staining. For people who are sensitive to smells and perfumes, the lack of odor is a great thing. It also means that there are more uses for this deodorant than first meet the eye. First, males or females can use it. Second, you can put the Norwex Crystal Deodorant on your feet to help with foot odor. I’m not going to lie, that’s an option that I’m excited about and one that I may need to try! You should probably give it a try, too, because you’re totally lying to yourself if you think your feet never stink! The third use that my husband is excited about is that this deodorant can be put on mosquito bites to relieve itching and inflammation. That’s awesome!
When you order and receive the Norwex Crystal Deodorant, you may open it up and think, ‘how the heck do I use this?’ At least I did! It’s actually a solid stone/crystal! You just have to wet the stone and then apply it to the appropriate place. When finished, you either give the stone a quick wipe with a towel to dry it or you let it sit, uncovered by the lid until it dries. Once dry, screw the lid back on in order to keep bacteria out.
My first thought when I realized that the stone was mostly salt, was, ‘oh, geez, I’ll bet this is gonna hurt if I apply it right after I shave!’ I was thrilled to find I was wrong! There is a very slight sting, but it’s so slight that I’m not sure it’s not just in my head!
I think this is the oddest blog post I’m going to do, but I did want to share my success with the Norwex Crystal Deodorant. With it’s benefits being that it’s odorless, non-staining, not sticky, and can be used on feet and mosquito bites, it’s a great value. One stone lasts a person about a year! This is so weird to actually write and share, but I’m really pretty excited about this deodorant! If you’re interested, too, you can check it out on my Norwex website here.
